The pre-war style Martin orchestra model acoustic features two-piece mahogany back and sides, and scalloped X-bracing – features of the time that have carried the sound of 1930s Martin build and sound through to modern production.  Other specs of the 000-18 include a non-bound Ebony fingerboard and open geared Grover tuners.  New for 2018 is the High Performance Taper neck profile and an aging toner top.  Although fit for use across the board in musical style, the 000-18 popularly excels in fingerstyle and solo acoustic playing.  The rich midrange and low end of genuine Mahogany allow for the voice of the guitar to cut through to an audience or microphone.
